6.5 Inch iPhone Mockup

Macotakarahas released a video giving us a look at the detailed schematics of the 2018 iPhones. The schematics used in the video have been floating around in the supply chain since last week.

As per the schematics, the 5.8-inch iPhone X will be 143.65mm tall, 72.03mm wide, and 7.69mm thick. Compared to the current iPhone X, the 2018 iPhone X might be 1.1mm wider but that could also be an error as the schematics are possibly accounting for the physical volume and power buttons. The bigger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus will be 157.53mm tall, 77.44mm wide, and 7.85mm thick. When compared to the iPhone 8 Plus, the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus is 1mm shorter and wider in size. It is also 0.35mm thicker than the former. This sounds about right since the notched display and thinner bezels will allow Apple to include a larger display on the iPhone X Plus without increasing the overall footprint of the device.

Interestingly, Macotakara refers to the iPhone X Plus as having a 6.4-inch display while other rumors and leaks have pointed to the device featuring a 6.5-inch display.

Finally, the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will measure in at 150.91 x 75.72 x 8.47mm. While its dimensions fall right in between the iPhone X and iPhone X Plus, it is considerably thicker than the two devices. Again though, Macotakara is referring to the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone with a 6-inch display which contradicts previous reports. Despite the differences in their dimensions, all devices have the same notch size which would be used to house the TrueDepth camera system for Face ID.
